The problem

Freight matching in mid-size regional markets is still largely run over phone calls and group chats. Shippers overpay for capacity they can’t easily compare, and carriers waste time chasing loads that don’t fit their routes. CargoGenix needed a marketplace that made both sides trust the bidding process enough to move off the phone.

The build

A two-sided marketplace built on Django and PostgreSQL, with a React and Tailwind front end for both shipper and carrier dashboards. Shippers post loads, carriers submit competitive bids, and the platform handles matching, notifications, and the transaction record — replacing a process that used to live entirely in text threads.

The result

CargoGenix is live and launching first in the Dallas–Fort Worth metro, with onboarding underway for shipper and carrier partners.
